The weather had finally warmed up enough that I could go out and ice skate. I laced up my skates and headed out to the frozen pond for some, hopefully safe skating. As I glided across the ice, I realized that the wind had started to pick up, causing the goosebumps to appear on my body, so I skated over to the gazebo and sat in front of the warm fireplace. The warmth made me so comfortable that I curled up, in the closest chair and closed my eyes. While I was laying there I heard the chuckle of Santa, so I climbed out of the chair and skated to a big red Christmas tree in the middle of the pond. Sitting beside the tree was a very large red velvet bag; I leaned over to see what was inside and slipped on my skates. As I started to crawl out of the bag, I heard a faint coughing from behind me.  Do I dare look back? When I finally reached my feet again, I could not believe my eyes… it was Santa, standing right beside me. I reached out to see if he was real, as my fingers came close to his beard, everything went dark.

~Just Spent!~

Thank goodness, the week is over! It had been one of those weeks, where it seems like time stops and drags on forever. I walked thru my front door and headed to the bathroom. The work clothes came off, and into the shower, I went. I reached out and grabbed my robe and then stood here wondering what I was going to wear. As I thought about, I decided that tonight was going to be a PJ type of night. I crawled into my bed, and just let the busy week escape from my pores. How thankful I am it is the weekend.

People have cottages that they escape to in the winter, which is normally somewhere in the sun and warm. I on the other hand, went out searching for a cottage snuggled among the snow and trees. There is no place more relaxing then, sitting on a couch with the smell of Christmas, coming from the cupcakes on the table, to the sounds of the ornaments moving in the wind as they hang on their custom-made frames. The small snowman, holding hands by the stairs, make me smile as I see the fine etched details on the wine bottles strategically positioned beside them. This is truly, what a girl needed to relax.
