After having an eventful night, I woke up this morning and did
not feel very good. I had to run to the bathroom, as my previous nights meal
decided it did not want to stay down. I sat down by the toilet, wiping my mouth
with the back of my hand, leaning against the cool toilet. As I sat there, I
began to think of when I would be due to start my period. I was never that good
at keeping track of it, so I grabbed my cell phone and opened my app that keeps
track of my cycles. My eyes widen as my app told me I was 3 weeks late, how
could that be. I shrugged it off thinking it was stress, but as my stomach gurgled,
again I placed my hand on my stomach, went to our cupboard, and grabbed a
pregnancy test that had been in there for good luck. I opened the box and
followed the instructions, placing the test on the counter of the sink when I
was done and waited as my phone counted down the seconds. I started to see the
faint appearance of words showing up on the test. PREGNANT, that is what I
said, I could not believe it, and I grabbed another test and repeated the
steps, sitting on the toilet as my hands shook, waiting for the results. I
yelled for my husband, as he walked into the bathroom, he came over to me and
at that time, two faint lines appeared on the stick. We were truly blessed…We
Are Expecting!”
