I heard some noise downstairs early this morning, so I tippy toed down the stairs carrying a roll of Christmas paper, as this was the only thing I could find. I walked down the stairs and turned the corner to see movement in the front room. As I quietly walked closer, I could see some little elves decorating the bay window. I was in awe, as I stood there watching, not sure if I should make a noise or not. I heard what sounded like very fast footprints and then felt a warm hand on mine. I looked down and seen one of the elves leading me to the window. He smiled and pointed to the tree, I moved closer and the other two opened the string of lights and I crawled inside and watched as they continued to decorate, knowing that I will always be surrounded by Christmas.

It was a cool fall afternoon, so we decided to cut some wood, before more snow started to fall. My phone started to ring in my pocket, so I reached down after placing the last long on the pile and answered it. My smile faded as the news on the other end was not what I was expecting to hear. My husband could see the hurt in my eyes, as he walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me, holding me tight. Sometimes, that is all you need, the warmth and love from a loved one.

~Finally A Christmas Picture!~

We decided to take a family picture, so we could make our own Christmas cards this year *chuckles*. We gave ourselves plenty of time, waking up early, getting baths, eating our breakfast and making sure all clothes were laid out to wear. No matter how much planning you do, things do not always go as planned. We had one little one who lost her shoe…our other little one that thru a temper tantrum…and of course, our young man who didn’t want to come. ~Stuck In The Snow!~

We were out for an afternoon drive, when we started talking about what we wanted to do over Christmas. When all of a sudden, we started to slide on the road and we over corrected and ended up with the front of our truck in a snowdrift. We tried multiple times to try to get out, but it only seemed like we were getting farther stuck. So we looked for any help and spotted a cozy little shelter bar by a frozen lake. It served so many delicious items and their hot cocoa was amazing.
