Woke up to the barking of our two puppies, Daisy, who is the
proud momma of Rey, our newest addition to the family in our garage, letting us
know it is time for a bathroom break. Hearing these barks of potty time, we
crawl out of bed and let our babies out. I run to the bathroom and change into
something decent for the day while my husband watched our furry babies play in
the yard. When they were done doing their “business”, he brought them in the
house for their breakfast. I smiled at our family and decided to head out to do
the morning chores in the barn. Kicking off my boots before entering the
barnyard, I managed to get all the chores done without getting an ounce of
friendly animal loving on me. I turned and walked outside of the gate, where I
stopped and slipped back into my boots. My love came outside with the puppies,
stopped, and pointed at a herd of deer by our entryway bridge. I smiled,
admiring the beautiful sight, when our horse bumped from behind me. I turn and
calmed her down with a soft gently rub of her muzzle, then turning and seeing
my love over by the deer, with our dogs. I walked over, wondering what he was
doing, did he not realize that if the dogs started barking, they would scare
them off. I seen Th0rn kneel down beside Daisy, I am guessing to help comfort
her, so that she did not scare away the deer. As I approached, my love smiled
and whispered something in Daisy’s ear. She turned herself around and hanging
in her mouth was a basket. I looked closer to see what was in the basket when I
hear my love speak. “Petals...You are the love of my life...my
EVERYTHING...this ring symbolizes that you are the ONLY ONE for me. We have
spent many years together, growing our love and showing how no matter what we
have been through, that our hearts only grow larger. So here, I kneel asking
you to be my wife, to be my everything. Petals, will you do me the honor and
marry me?” My hands tremble as he takes my hand in his, I feel the moisture building
up in my eyes as the tears of joy stream down my cheek, “Yes my love, Yes I
will spend the rest of my Life with you”
